He was mentioned on NPR this morning while they played his cover version of Ravel's Bolero.
He's been my hero for 33 years and was looking into running for President when he got sick in the early ninety's. "Not only would I win, but I'd be good at the job." is one of his comments at the time.
He eventually became kind of buddies with Al and Tipper Gore and said some nice things about Al, who has gone on record as a "fan of Frank Zappa's music."
