Thursday was the last full day of the convention, when Kerry accepted our party's nomination. And it was a party! The place was totally packed, all the way to the top, even the seats behind the podium where they couldn't see a damn thing. I got a floor pass, so I stopped by the Fleet Center early so I could get a chance to walk around on the floor before everyone showed up.

I have so much hope after this week, I cannot tell you. I remember feeling the same way in 1992, but perhaps I feel even stronger about this year. Kerry's speech blew me away, and I am so excited that you were all there to see it in person.

21. It's Luke

The guy in the middle back is Luke, who I think might work for Hillary Clinton. (Anyone feel free to correct me.) Luke was forced to stay in a BU dorm room the size of my closet with like 14 other people so he ended up spending a good deal of time with our posse. He is, as I've mentioned elsewhere, a filthy baby-eating Yankees fan - which I found curious because I didn't know you could be a Yankees fan and a Democrat at the same time, y'know? It's like he's on our team - but at the same time, not. We reached an uneasy truce where we pretended to like each other, but secretly we peed in each other's beers.
