Anyone going to watch Mike Tyson tonight? |
Everyone's favorite GOP supporter Mike Tyson is fighting Danny Williams tonight in Louisville, Kentucky. Outrageously, they are charging $45 for it on PPV.
It might be worth $10 to watch at a bar, but I can't see paying $50 anymore for old Mike.

I love boxing, and I always loved watching Tyson fight... but he's not really worth that much $$. I may get it anyway, but I haven't decided...

7. I'm definitely watching |
My inclination is that this bout won't last longer than one round or two. The blow would be softened by paying only a $10 cover, not the full $45 retail price.

2. ESPN.com was running a poll earlier today or yesterday |
Asking whether you'd even watch the fight if it were free.

5. Not for $45. Mike's shot. The guy he's fighting has the style to |
beat him. He's tall with a good jab, right cross and uppercut.

6. I like Mike Tyson..... |
and I am planning to watch tonight's fight. I boxed a lot when I was young .... long, long ago. I remember watching how Cus D'Amato picked fighters at the Golden Gloves. He rarely left the locker room. He could tell everything he needed to know simply by watching how people acted in the locker room. Now, that's strange really, because as an amatuer, Mike used to become emotionally overwhelmed in the locker rooms before fights. And I remember Cus saying that he had his champion when Mike was young: Cus said he had the delivery of Floyd Patterson, and the power of Sonny Liston.

10. I met Tyson before he won the title but was seen as "the" |
contender. He was a polite, earnest likable kid. When he joined up with Don King and left the home he'd made in Catskill and turned his back on those that had made him family - he went to hell real fast. They used him for the almighty dollar and created a monster where there didn't have to be one. Very sad. It reminded me of how they turn pit bulls into killers for dog fights.
