4. RAPE, MURDER,
is just a shot away....

One of the most haunting passages in rock, IMO.

2. I had to think about it a minute before I realized that this is from
"Gimme Shelter," by the Rolling Stones. Other than that, I have nothing to go on.

22. What are you looking for?
The Sisters of Mercy was a goth band from the early 80's to the early 90's. Good for their time.

6. Whew, what a relief...
On first reading, my mind read that as something where people are encouraged to find love by kissing their sisters.

Yeah.. it's 1am, and I should be in bed by now.

:spank:

11. couldnt tell you, I saw them back in 92 (?) with public enemy
It was when Tony James (I think) from Sigue Sigue Sputnik was playing bass for them. Andrew Eldritch acted like a total jerk on stage like he hated being there, threw down the mike, left the stage.

He came back about 5 minutes later, did a few more songs and ended the show.

Public Enemy came on and blew them away. That is my last memory of them.

13. yep I thought so too. Sisters was supposed to headline here in DC
but Public Enemy was having transportation problems so they had to go on last.

Warrior Soul was equally crappy.

Every now and then I check up on some of those bands to see what's going on with them (Fields of the Nephilim, The Mission UK, Sex Gang Children, Lords of the New church, etc)...I guess it's time to check on the Sisters of Mercy.

15. The only good part of Warrior Soul's set was the "Bush has got to go"
chant that they had everyone do. How weird is that!

17. Uh, no. No bad metal for me, ma!
I'm in a weird spot these days, though. All I can listen to is early Bowie and Japanese jazz electronica.
