I don't start a ride in the rain. I leave that to Lance.

Oh, but last night I went 14.5 miles in 1:02....

9. That's a classic!
I have a Vision R40 that I don't much ride, and an Action Bent JetStream that I ride all the time. My SO rides my old Bacchetta Giro.

Me, I just like that USS thang too much.

8. I have nine bikes.
Raleigh Super Grand Prix
Fuji S-10S (maybe late 60's-early 70's vintage)
Schwinn "Le Tour" (Panasonic-built frame)
Panasonic DX-2000
NORCO "Bush Pilot"
Frankenbike 3-speed
Frankenbike SWB 'Bent (in progress)
Schwinn Conti (early 70's)
Bridgestone "sport tourer" (an odd duck, made in Taiwan obviously after Gary left to found Rivendell)

I was riding the Raleigh. Just finished refurbishing it last week (I posted a pix earlier this week) It seems to be pretty quick...

Do you have lights?

11. I try to get going by 6:30 after work.
And if I'm going to do much more than 20 miles, I need lights.
The Raleigh doesn't have any yet, but I run homemade lights. The rear, i crack open the reflector and put in 3-6 high intensity red LED's. The front is an 11W "malibu" plastic landscape "sealed beam". 12V 7AH gel-cell for power. Runs the whole mess at least 3 hours.

3. Sunday my sweetie and I will start
about a 130 mile ramble down the KATY trail from Sedalia to Hermann MO.
It is such a beautiful ride that even though it *always* rains on us at some point in the journey, it is worth it.

Ok, perhaps last year's tornado warning was a bit much...

13. The basic Iten...
Sunday... Sedalia to Franklin (about 50-55 miles, counting the ride to the station.

Monday Franklin to Hartsburg (40 something miles) Assuming Rocheport does not snag us for too long.

Tuesday Hartsburg to either Mokane or Hermann (I think about another 40 miles.

Wednesday -- attempt to remain sober while touring multiple wineries.

Thursday -- pedal gently back to the station, nursing inevitable hang over. Sleep like the dead in a gently rocking railcar. Ride back home from the station Thurs. eve.

Fortunately, we will be pedalling downstream, with a tailwind!
It is really not that much of a ride (even a gimp like me can enjoy it), except between Sedalia and Franklin, which seems to creep up this slight, but unremitting rise... forever...

12. It's a gentle soaker tonight.
Lot better than those deluges that saturate the ground in 3 hours then flood everybody's basement like we had last month....

Where you at that's so dry?

Oh VIVA Las Vegas!

Someday I'll leave this cesspool of humanity, go to Seattle or Arkansas or somewheres.
