Poll question: Should I buy or do it myself?
http://www.q-d.com/wf.htm

I need to create a form that will save the results in a delimited text file. This will be imported into another program for data analysis.

I am interested in a web-based career even though all this can be easily outsourced by traitorous corporate america.

Thx for any input!

1. Dead as poodleskirts?
Thats funny. ;)

Learn as much as you can, keep your options open. I think the IT field is over saturated, but if its what you want, go for it.

If doing the work yourself will help you in the Business do it yourself. But programmers are lazy and look for code they can use in their software or products that will help them. Re-inventing the wheel is boring..

3. Photojournalism
I've seen your online protfolio, and you've got a fantastic eye. You might as well work it. Everyone and his brother's in I.T., the glut ain't going away anytime soon. Imagine how fulfilling it is to be able to say you're making your living as an artist.

6. The 3rd party program that will get the data
can't import from database apps. (it's a goofy program from 1992, does that answer your question? :D )

There's no need to do more than what is needed though I did buy a book covering PHP and SQL to get me started on more advanced concepts...

7. Photojournalism sounds exciting
I've seen some of your work that you have posted on DU. You have a good eye for photography. Why don't you pursue that?
