Seattle just totally rules.
Any Seattle DUers should come to the Rolling Thunder gig today in Magnusen Park. Starts at noon, I do my bla-bla at 7pm.

It is a perfect day here. Perfect. Seattle = rules.

15. it's so sad
I left Seattle a year ago yesterday, and I SWEAR they have had a losing record ever since. I guess if you all beg hard enough (and offer me a permanent VERY high-paying job), I may come back and help them win again.

And it must be a telecommute, because I will never ever again suffer a car commute on I-5. x(

So next time I'm following some asshole on his cell phone driving 10 mph below the speed limit, I can easily pluck him up and toss him off into the lake. :D

As is a ride on one of our state ferries, a drive to Snoqualmie Falls, dinner at Ray's Boathouse. This is a beautiful city to visit.:hi:

27. I love your city!
one of my best friends from college has lived there for many years. And I haven't been since her wedding. Would love to see it again. All that green and mist and mountains.

12. great city
But you have to have Microsoft money to live there. It's hard on all the jobless folks in the region.

But I hope you have a good time - my ghost haunts lots of bars there. ;-)

14. LOL, my brain must strain
Just about any and all in Pioneer Square, like the original J&M (never the same after it moved), Larry's, Dutch Ned's, the Fenix, and down a few blocks towards downtown, my favorite Irish pub, The Owl & Thistle.

Then there's these places in Lower Queen Anne, which my memory is too hazy with, lol... I wonder why. :o Stiffest drinks ever at this one smoky dive... maybe you can help me recall.

I remember warming up at the Nite Lite before a show at the Moore Theater... then there's the Croc, and some cheesy Belltown joints nearby.

And of course, the best dive in the U District, the Blue Moon, where I enjoyed the bad open mike poetry, peanuts on the floor, stepping over a sleeping person or two on the way to the bathroom, and Tom Robbins hosting a chat in the back room. :D

17. You know, I knew you'd mention the Moon
Yeah, I love the Nite Lite too, as well as the Virgina Inn, nearby. Are you thinking of Sorry Charlie's on lower QA, by chance? It's been turned into a yuppie fern bar, as has much of Seattle. Sigh.

It's a gorgeous day here, ZW!:hi:

:D

Sorry Charlie's... no. Not that one - and I have been there and agree - soulless now. I DO know I will remember if I hear it. I recall it was a favorite of the late Emmett Watson. I can believe it, having been there.

On edit: I surely enjoy a beautiful summer day in Seattle. :hi:

16. Damn, I didn't even know you were gone
I didn't know about the Rolling thunder thing. I googled and found their site (needs updating badly on event dates, Seattle isn't even on there). How cool, I see you are doing a few of them.

Bet the great northwest is a nice respite after the crowds, lines and security at the convention.

Thanks for the great TO coverage, btw.

Enjoy the respite, Will. Kick some repuke ass, ok?
