I had an uncle that dropped dead on the street several years ago doing something he loved.

They want to make the next one (after "longhorn") a pay to use OS, that you would subscribe to and pay per month. I think that'll be the breaking point where I make all my computers linux computers.

9. A couple

My biggest big picture fear is that I will die a faliure, having contributed nothing to this world. Although some would probably say that was untrue, but I still worry about it.
My biggest pure terror fear would be snakes that I couldn't get away from. I can look at snakes in the zoo. I have been near a few small snakes in the wild and been alright. I have even petted a boa constrictor's back while the owner held it. I could not pick one up myself though. If I were sleeping outside and one was in my sleeping bad with me, I don't think I could take it. If I were thrown into the snake pit in Raiders of the Lost Ark, I think that I would just pass out and die.

The middle age thing is setting in, and lately I have been facing the fact that I will die at some point, and that alone scares me.
