saw your question a couple seconds ago on the U2 thread...to answer, I don't know if I', protestant or Catholic. I was not raised religous and niether was my mother. So, that probably means we were protestant. I find catholocism is handed down a bit more than the other. But, I look at it as the people have had a rough go, not one group. - CHeers

I dont know really. but hey protestants are welcome in Irish nationalists circles. In fact many of the Irish socialists have not been that religious or in favor of returning to Gaelic. I wasnt raised religious either but I am a Catholic. Also Ivan Cooper the leader of the Derry peace organization was a protestant so was Parnell and there was another. All sorts of protestants in the movement. That said thats why I dont think religion is the cause of the problems, intially I bet it was but its about economics.

It's a pleasure to have met Will Pitt and Sal 316.
If any of you are ever going to be in AZ, PM me, I'd love to actually converse (or even argue) face to face!
Besides, there's a great Tex-Mex just down the street; the real thing.
Taquitos with lime and cabbage--mmmmm. (And i don't mean the chips.)

You're very kind to include me and I'm very flattered. I'd love to meet you too. In fact, I'd enjoy meeting *everyone* here at a GREAT BIG DU-Party...
... But ...
Doesn't this thread make anyone here uncomfortable? Even though it's difficult to avoid "connecting" with others on some other level... and even though personal friendships outside of DU have been established... this whole thread risks turning into a popularity contest of "Who's-The-Most-Interesting".
I recall seeing threads like this from time to time and eventually someone gets hurt for being forgotten and left out of the list. I hope it doesn't happen this time.
I know that wasn't the original poster's intent... but that's sometimes the result.

Same at any Dean event we have done......
