It was WAYYYYYYYY too long...and I don't know if I liked it or hated it! It was certainly different!

I figured it out too quickly though..... It wasn't my favorite of his movies...but not the worst.

2. Could you compare it to, 'Unbreakable'? |
|
I'm curious about 'The Village', but if it is anything like 'Unbreakable', which I've heard it compared to, I will not see it. I was so disgusted at the fact that I wasted 2 hours of my life I'll never get back, all for one of the most idiotic endings imaginable. The only other time I was this pissed off at a moviemaker was when my daughter talked me into renting, 'Freddy Got Fingered'. Dear god...

That movie was so bad, it was almost good. The sausage scene, the scene in the hospital delivery room, the masturbation of an elephant, Rip Torn inviting Tom Green to f*ck him in the ass.. it was so bad that it was kinda hilarious. I often wonder what happened to the execs who green-lit that movie..

8. I thought unbreakable was the movie with Bruce Willis |
|
And the black actor from Pulp Fiction? (what the hell is his name?)
Willis is a security guard (I think?) and the black actor is an evil guy in a wheel chair?
I don't remember all the stuff you reference in that film LOL

7. It's kind of like Unbreakable |
|
In the sense that the ending is rather ridiculous!
It's actually clever but I am not sure it was worth sitting through two hours to see it!

5. M. Knight Shmayalan's films have been unwatchable |
|
since "Unbreakable" - which I walked out of. There must be so many much more talented young directors out there who would give their left boob or testicle to get the chances this guy keeps getting. He must have dirt on the studio honchos.

6. I've figured out each and every "twist" he's ever done |

just from the ads. His endings are telegraphed from the start. Because he does it every time, his films are too predictable to be fun to watch. And each of his films just get worse in logic. Unless people have lied to me, I figured out "The Village" before it was even made, just from hearing a plot outline.
Bah.
I'm not normally down on directors, but Night is a hack.
