Anyone else seeing those stupid cable blocking ads? |
|
A father asks his daughter why he can't watch this one channel. She says "Mom blocked it. You'll have to get her PERMISSION to watch it." Father says "Honey, can I watch this channel?" She walks in and says "NO!" With her arms crossed and the daughter following her with upraised, smug head, they both leave the room. Man looks into the camera with a dumbfounded look.
First off, this isn't sexist, but if I was a part of a marriage, I'd hope to be able to have a conversation (at least) about what I can watch and what I can't. I wouldn't want to be married to someone who decides what's good or bad for me (as an adult) to watch on tv.

2. I think I could handle the ads if the daughter |
|
didn't act so high and mighty about the situation. She plays it like some major win over her father just because it's the mother deciding things. :puke: Did any of the ad people realize that marriages are about communication not dictorial action?
