Why don't some people get toilet humour? |
|
I watched America's Funniest Home Videos for the first time in ages.
Nothing much has changed, they show the same old boring clips over and over. They did a wedding compilation that was a complete yawner.
Then they did about a minute and a half of babies projectile vomitting all over the place including into people's mouths. I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe. I had stomach cramps. Ahknaten watched this performance and announced that he didn't see what was so funny. That set me off again. Trying to explain it set me off again. It took me about 10 minutes to get a coherent sentence out.
He still doesn't get it.

6. I may be the only known female that actually enjoys the Stooges! |
|
It seems to be an overwhelmingly "guy" thing, doesn't it?

8. I'm another woman who likes the Stooges-- |
|
even have my favorite episodes and my favorite Stooge. But yeah, it is mainly a 'guy thing.'
So is toilet humor, but I enjoy that as well. :D

Love it! I wasn't allowed to watch as a kid, so when I finally escaped I watched it *every single day*.
Love AFV too... thank goodness for recycled Japanese comedies. :)

when I was younger, I didn't get stuff like that at ALL. NEVER found it funny. Same thing with ALL physical humor. My brother would sit there peeing his pants from laughing so hard at The Three Stooges and it just depressed me because I wanted the other two to gang up on Moe, because he was MEAN.
Then I met my husband. He has a VERY developed sense of humor when it comes to slapstick/physical stuff. Also a gross sense of humor. Watching old Pink Panther movies with him made me see the appeal. He would be reduced to giggling fits watching Kato attack Inspector Closeau (sp?).
Now I LOVE that type of stuff.
If people don't get it, they don't get it.
Ever watch NewsRadio? God, that show used to have us in stitches.
Speaking of, I once watched America's Funniest Home Videos when I was in the hospital and had staples in my stomach and had just had abdominal surgery. Oh. My. God. I had to change the channel because I couldn't stop laughing and it hurt SO BAD.
