9. It tries to turn over
but doesn't... acts like it's flooded, kinda. I think it might be a fuse.

My dad is on his way to get me... he's bringing some extras & a flashlight.

Is it fuel injected?

14. Yes it is
Edited on Wed Aug-18-04 07:49 PM by redqueen
but this guy who pulled out of the parking garage behind me (really nice guy) called his ford mechanic friend (what luck!) and the friend told him how to check if fuel was getting to the engine. It is. (Easy to check, there's a little valve there right in front of the carburetor thing.

I'm so lucky... the guy's going to hook me up with a free diagnostic check... that is if it's not the stupid fuse, in which case it should be working pretty soon. :)

Could be the problem if it acts like that.

33. Fuse is possible, yes
also the battery may be dying
Alternator might be going out
Possibly a clogged fuel line, or stoppage somewhere like the PCV valve, but not likely
Bet on testing the battery first, then the alternator (if you can't find a burned out fuse)

PITA waiting for someone to come take you to the auto store and then returning and replacing it. Luckily, I had the tools needed in my tool box.

Get to walk in the rain down the street to where it's parked, and then do some amateur contortionist exercises trying to get to the dang fusebox. Woohoo!
