My car is back to normal, and it only took me 10 minutes, too!
Sad thing is I got m'pants all wet. I knew I would get kinda wet, but didn't realize till I got into the position that I had to put a knee down in a puddle. Squishy. :)
Weird thing though - the guide said this spot needed a fuse with an 18 on it. Have any of you ever seen a fuse with an 18 on it? I had a 15 (which burned out immediately) and a 20 but no 18.
I'm just so relieved it's drivable again. Wohooooo! And silver lining... I'd never walked over to that building before, only directly across the street to drop off Airborne shipments. There's nothing at all interesting on the way except for three sculptures of people dancing.
The rain has the weather nice and cool, and there area azaleas along the way to this other building which were blooming beautifully, with some petals scattered on the sidewalk even. A nice gentle wind was making the sculptures spin also... which I'd never noticed were mobile... so many things you never notice driving by. Ahhhh, silver linings. :)

Usually it's the $300 part that sacrifices itself to save the 10-cent fuse---glad it's the other way around this time...:-)

3. If the fuse goes out again it probably needs some real work. |

Keep extra fuses handy though, to get to the shop. Remember, you can usually substitute a slightly higher amp. fuse as a temporary fix.

There was a 20 in it ... but Mr RQ probably put that in... I'll have to keep looking for an 18.
I got lectured both by dad & the Mr for trying a 30... luckily it was dark, my dad forgot his flashlight, and I couldn't get it in there. May have saved my car!
