1. I didn't sleep worth a crap either.
We had storms during the night. I feel a little out of it. All in all, I'd rather be back in bed.

in in 78704 and while i could see spectacular lightening displays off to the N and W

25. That is too funny.
so I take it you don't labor to keep a green sward of St Augustine going ?
for me its too much effort. I am trying to elliminate my yard altogether with lantana , salvia, and rosemary - anything else that will cover what used to be mowed.

Weeds, hail !

27. I just bought the place, and it had been neglected.
There's SOME grass, but it's mostly Johnson grass and other assorted weeds.

39. well good luck to you - regarding the yards
It does not take long for things to take over. I have been attacking the burmuda grass and growing wildflowre - lantana if good if you are into lepidoptra.
all kinds of butterflies.

Satuday is wide open. Saturday is wide open - but what ever my wife wants to do gets priority. She'd had a hard week at work.
3 Weeks is a long time to be away. Work or recreation, or family ?

12. Work and recreation.
Had to be in NY on business for four weeks. Got home on one weekend and then out to visit my girlfriend in California the last two.

I like that you give your wife priority... very cool :)

28. well maybe you just need some down time
coffee, read the paper, take it easy, luxurate in being home for a bit.
A calif girlfriend...that;s a bit of a distance. I wish you the very best with that.
I have had some good and not so good LDRs

Wife gets priority. I am way too sefl focused as it is. This compensates.

30. I think that's exactly what I will be doing this weekend.
As for the LDR... I have no intention of keeping it long distance. I'll probably be headed west myself in the near future.

19. I hate it when everything is a remodeling mess...
Spent 3 weeks having the entire interior of the house painted in absolute bedlam last year. Won't do that again.

So... what's your kitchen gonna look like?

22. lots of counter tops, new cabinets
plus a wall knocked out for a larger kitchen. We will also have an island installed. While we were having that mess, my neighbor talked my wife into removing the paneling from our family room and just put up dry wall.

41. I loved the paneling!!
It made the room very relaxing and welcoming in my humble opinion. I had a friend who thought that the paneling made the room "manly". Unfortunatly, my wife and her friends hated it, and I agreed to remove it (I got to choose the color of the "new" room. A coffee color).

26. LOL... Nope. I had one once when I was 18.
For my sister's wedding. Never again! And I can't even remember what color it was.

I used to wear dresses all the time, but the only time in the past 7 years or so that I've worn one, was to a halloween party. That was my entire costume. :D
