Anyone ever heard of "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!" on NPR? |
|
Its like a news quiz on NPR.
It's on right now.

Maybe not the most intelligent discourse all the time, but it's usually good for a laugh.
The Tappet Bros. on Car Talk are usually pretty fun too :)

some might be "no brainers" but it's thoroughly entertaining.
What heated and rivetting competition can one expect to win the much coveted prize of Carl Castle's voice on their out going message on their answering machine.
It's really silly. Love it when Mo Rocca and P.J. are on. (yes I know P.J. O'Rourke is a conservative, but he has a sometimes scathing wit.)
I may be a "no brainer " but I learned today that in the original Greek Olympics, gouging out an opponant's eyes was forbidden. But ripping out their intestines, or killing them was allowed. I really didn't know that before.

of WWDTM. :-)
It's a fun way to look at the news. I like the "which one is the true news story" segment especially.

Actually it's a very funny show. My best friend was one of the celeb guests once. I was so jealous.

11. Used to be on Sundays on WV NPR................. |
|
but for some reason they stopped carrying it in lieu of... *GASP* more classical music. I love classical music, but it seems that's all WV NPR plays any more. They seem to lack in imagination in their programming and don't take suggestions well, so I haven't contributed to them in a while.
