5. The media was too busy
covering the Chandra Levy disappearance to devote any time to one of Scar's aides being found dead in his office, under highly suspicious circumstances. Therefore, few people know about the incident.

Gee, I wonder what criteria the media was using to determine which story was worth covering.

7. Thanks for the links.
So I started reading them. The released autopsy is very
illuminating... and, in all likelihood, a complete pile of crap.

Let me quote:

The fall that caused her to strike the desk was likely triggered by an
undiagnosed heart condition known as floppy mitral valve disease, which
is typically marked by abnormal heart rhythms. The affected valve
divides the heart's left-side chambers.

======

Now, I happen to know something about heart problems including
"floppy mitral valve disease"... since I HAVE that. I also have
something called Wolfe-Parkinson-White Syndrome (or WPW), and both
of these are congenital, not a "disease".

Floppy mitral valve (detected as a "heart murmur") is dangerous, but
one does NOT faint from it, UNLESS you are doing something which
causes your heart to beat much faster (exercise), and even then you
will be light-headed before you faint. It is quite easy to detect,
one simply listens with a stethoscope and if you hear a
thump-THUMP-whoosh, you probably have a mitral valve problem.
A severe case can also be detected by monitoring blood pressure
(yours will be low even after heart racing exercise). It is
extremely unlikely that someone could get to be in the mid to
late twenties with a severe case of mitral valve prolapse or
floppy mitral valve, and NOT have had it diagnosed. It is unlikely
in the extreme that someone, in an office environment, without
exercise or some sort of adrenaline rush, would FAINT from this,
causing them to fall and strike their heads.

This just isn't believable. Any heart specialists want to chime
in here?

9. One of the articles says

that Joe was in D.C. that day, and flying home that afternoon
on a already scheduled flight (every weekend to spend time with
his sons).

Course, he could have flown home earlier to meet her for a
quickie, and accidentally bounced her head on a desk.
(And I am not doing anything here that wasn't done to Condit
and by a lot of mainstream media).

I just think the autopsy is bullshit. Mitral valve! Undiagnosed!
From an apparently healthy twenty something woman that went running
every day. Faints at the office and strikes her head hard enough
to kill her.

12. medical examiner dismissed
Medical Examiner who did the autopsy on Joe Scarborough's dead aide dismissed

WEAR TV Pensacola- 7-6-03 The Okaloosa/Walton medical examiner will be out of the job he's held the last six years.
Dr. Michael Berkland has been dismissed by the Medical Examiner's Office in Pensacola.
The Florida Medical Examiner's Commission had complained of his failure to complete dozens of autopsy reports in 2001 and 2002, a violation of state statutes... 7/6/03

13. it gets worse
Michael Berkland, it turns out, has a very interesting background himself. Recently relocated to Florida, it is a matter of public record that Dr. Berkland's medical license in the state of Missouri was revoked in 1998 as a result of Berkland reporting false information regarding brain tissue samples in a 1996 autopsy report. Berkland does not deny the charges.

15. Now THAT's a big surprise - NOT!

The whole thing smacks of coverup.

First the police report saying "no trauma" then the second
report of "severe wounds to the head", then "hit her head
while fainting hard enough to crack the skull"... and
then "undiagnosed mitral valve problem"... BULLSHIT.

Didn't they put Condit on the lie detector for Chandra?
Why don't they put all of the staff workers and Joe on the
lie detector for this bullshit... and the couple that found
her? Why didn't this make the tabloid TV? Oh, right, it's
the LIBERAL media... (/sarcasm/)

18. It's possible that she fainted

if she had jogged to the office that morning. If she had been
found in jogging clothes with something to change into in a bag
or something, one could possibly stretch this. But let me
tell you, I've had many arrhythmia attacks (heart starts racing
at 280+ beats/min) where my blood pressure drops to 60/40, and
this ISN'T from my mitral valve problem, but from the WPW I
mentioned. First I could correct this with a drug... later I had
to go the ER every time to "reboot" my heart (with another drug,
but one that has to be administered via injection). Every time,
I drove myself to the ER, parked the car, and walked (VERY SLOWLY)
from the lot to the front desk. As soon as I tell the person
there what's happening, they RUN to get a wheelchair, take me
directly to a ER room and start treating me for shock (elevate
the feet, start a rapid IV of saline). Then, after the history
and a doc comes by, they inject me with Indocard (a GREAT drug).
I die for about 30 seconds (literally, my heart stops), and then
I live again. But this is all related to WPW, not the mitral
valve. And I have never fainted from either. And my case (both
the mitral and the WPW) are considered fairly severe.

This thing with this girl just smells.

(Fortunately, I had heart surgery to correct the WPW some years
back, and now I don't suffer episodes as much, only 1 every other
year or so).

21. Not OK, but alive.

and since I wasn't supposed to live more than a few hours after
I was born (one doctor had already declared me DOA), every day
is GOOD day. Heart transplant is always possible, but so far
not warranted. More surgery is not possible (except to replace
the mitral valve, which many heart specialist have told me is
just more risk than the reward). So, we live from day to day.
All of us.

He said he quit to spend more time with his family. Working for MSNBC does he really get to spend more time with them? Also, do you see the whole frigging craziness of the idea of a liberal media?

A beautiful, healthy young woman with an undiagnosed heart problem who just happens to faint for the first time in her life in Joe Scarborough's office, and just happens to be alone, and just happens to fall in just the perfect way to hit her head hard enough on the desk to die from the blow. Oh, please!!

25. when The Am Prospect had a forum there was a lot of discussion abt this
someone posted that she or her husband had done some secret military work at a base near the office

someone posted that she had some connection with FL2000

there was all sorts of stuff being posted with links.......don't remember any links to above

I think the fights in the Scarborough/intern discussions were part of the reason the site gave up trying to moderate the forums and just stopped any discussions
