I woke up tonight with this deep heavy congested feeling in my chest. The last time i felt this way was when i had pneumonia 9 years ago. It may just be bronchitis, but i have to be careful. I haven't been sick in 11 monthns, and in the last three weeks i've had two colds! Time to overdose on vitamin C.

you definitely have pneumonia and need to get on antibiotics asap.
Infact, even if it's just bronchitis you should still get on the drugs to make a swift recovery!

breathe deeply - from the abdomen, as slowly as you can.
When you are getting out, cough into a clean tissue, or whatever, observe the color.
Hopefully you will go to sleep w/ LOTS of blankys. In the morning, take the same looong shower.
If the sputnum is dk yellow or green (or and red/maroon streaks), go to the doctor. NOW

...get a chest x-ray. It's the definitive test. You've had pneumonia before, so you know it's nothing to mess around with.

You could have bronchitis, pneumonia or asthma. Vitamin C is not enough; you need antibiotics (and I have a truckload of sulfa drugs here in my fridge, BTW). I had a chronic kidney infection and ended up with way too much sulfa.
Anyway, you, get to the doctor. Pronto.

She spent almost a week in the hospital, on oxygen. Just go. And let us know how you are.:hug:

A friend of our family's thought he had some sort of respiratory infection. He used all the home remedies, but it just seemed to linger on.
A week or so later, he died. Of pneumonia.
Same story with Jim Henson. Tough guy just didn't make it to the hospital in time.
Get your ass (and your lungs) to a doctor ASAP.
