What's with the sprinter's massive EGOS? |
|
Those US sprinters (at least the men) must need those muscular legs to handle the monstrous egos. What a bunch of total shits. I was appalled by Shawn Crawford's jesturing to Justin Gaitlin during the semifinal for the 100m and indulged in a bit of schadenfreude when Crawford didn't medal.
I haven't seen this attitude amongst many of the other elite athletes like Michael Phelps (for example). What is it about sprinting?!?
At least Maurice Greene at least was a graceful loser after coming so close to tying Carl Lewis' dual gold medals. The 'GOAT' stuff was quite off-putting.

1. I find the swimmers to be equally arrogant... |
|
at least the men. Phelps and Gary Hall seemed particularly....ummm what's the word....smarmy.
Sprinters can be bad as well, but all sports will have their share of egotistical cheneys.

She makes me retch every time I see her moody, pissy attitude.

4. It's always been that way among track sprinters - nothing new. |
|
It's like bragging about who's the fastest gun in the West.

5. Justin seemed like a nice kid in most of the post-race interviews |
|
That exchange with him and the other American in the semifinal was obnoxious, though.
