Favorite Led Zeppelin Song!!!! |
|
:D
Mine is tied between "Ramble On" and "What is and What Should Never Be" (you can guess what my favorite Album is)
Round out the top #5 would be "The Ocean", "The Rover" and "Your Time is going to come"
Could live without: "Stairway to Heaven" and lately "Rock & Roll" but only because it's played on those damn Cadillac commericials
So what is YOUR favorite LEd Zeppelin song?

6. Actually for me it's the solo to Fool In The Rain... |
|
Something about the melodic yet fuzzed out sound of that solo, cutting through the otherwise poppy song does it for me every single time.

7. "Immigrant Song" and "Ten Years Gone" are my favorites right now. |
|
But "Whole Lotta Love" also kicks a significant amount of ass.

Over The Hills and Far Away is a close second. I really like almost all Zep songs, but those two stand out.

I used to lay on my couch in my bachelor pad apt with those big gold Koss headphones on,stoned and I'd be listening to Babe I'm Gonna Leave You and I'd get chills. At one time in my life if it wasn't Zeppelin I wasn't listening to it.I even turned down a chance to see Lynard Skynard's last show because as I told my then girlfriend Jocelyn "They're not Zeppelin"

The lovely instrumental on Physical Graffiti (3rd side, for those who remember vinyl albums). My second fave would have to be "Hot Dog" off In Through The Out Door.

28. Plant opened with that song at his solo concert in Hershey 1989 |
|
Everytime I burn a CD of LZ songs - I always start off with "In the Evening" in honor of the Best Concert I've ever seen (during "In the Mood" I actually held Robert Plant's hand while he sung it)

"The Lemon Song", which is actually a Robert Johnson song and yes I like "Stairway" as well as "Gallows Pole". on edit- two more. "Bron Yr Stomp" and "Bring it on Home". Have to get out of this subject as I consider Zeppelin the greatest band ever and I'll just keep adding on as I go.
