When Borat showed pictures of his mother spread-eagled to the people in the stands (first season). Nothing funnier on TV.

I liked his 'sister' better, the one he had at the wine tasting.
His wife is dead. Shot by hunter, mistaken for a bear.

Another of my favorites was when he was campaigning with that GOP guy and he told the women that she had better vote for his friend, and he would rule like Stalin and crush his enemies. Then he gave the speech in Oklahoma City where he had them observe ten minutes of silence and then told them he wants to 'make romance inside them'. Too funny.

Or when he got the GOP Congressional candidate to say on camera he thought Jews would go to hell.

When he got those frat boys to take off their pants in front of the camera after wrestling with them, being obviously gay the whole time and then freaked them out when he told them they were on Austrian gay TV---that segment was a riot.

18. What I Really Wanted To Know |
|
was whether or not he let his interviewees in on the joke at the end of the segment. Apparently he doesn't. He's always in character, even after the interview is over.
He won't reveal how the interviews are set up, but he did say that the whole thing only has a limited amount of time until it's not doable anymore because people will be onto him...

...yesterday on DVD. I loved it. He was interviewed on Howard Stern this morning but I didn't get to hear it. I did hear a little snippet Stern played of an interview Ali G did with Andy Rooney. Andy was acting real impatient and superior, corrcting Ali G's grammar. It's amazing how many people don't seem to catch on to the fact that they are being joshed. That's one of the funniest things about the show to me, it's funny watching so many people being so humorless.
On edit: How on earth does he get access to some of these people and places??

Gingrich, James baker and Buchanan and some of the other really big names by pretending to do educational shows for kids in the UK. And most of these guys love to talk to the camera, so it is just easy.

Wow. You would think that they'd realize that this man had nothing to do with educating kids as soon as he opens his mouth: the bad grammar, the outrageous stuff he says, the ridiculous questions...

I think they think all young people are idiots, and just think he is some MTV guy or something. But some of the questions he asks are so beyond the pale---and so un-pc someone has to wonder. Only a few guests have ended the interview that I have seen---Donald Trump, Marlin Fitzwater and Andy Rooney last night, although I think one or two might have left during a group discussion

The interview of Gore Vidal was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on television. Though the following skit in which he explained what "mount vernon" meant was pretty funny as well.
