For me, it's the original Clairol Herbal Essence (remember the green shampoo) w/ the woodsy smell. God I loved it.

2. New Coke
I really didn't think it was all that bad. The old coke is fine, and I would not get rid of it, but I wish they had kept the new coke around longer. As I remember, it was phased out in the early '90's.

Edited on Mon Aug-23-04 03:08 PM by demnan
just a touch of moisturizer, no greesy feeling and not drying either. Good light natural coverage. It also came in good shades for my skin. All the Revlon makeup they make now is too yellow for me and the new kinds are either too drying or to heavy.

19. Salvo detergent is one that comes to mind.
For those of you too young to remember, it was a detergent that was in solid form. You got a box of solid "tablets"--shaped kind of like bars and about the same size. I liked them because if you went to the laundromat you could just take how ever many tablets you needed, rather than lug a big bottle or box or pay a fortune for the little boxes they sell at the mat. And no worry about spilling anything, which was good if you were a klutz like I can be. So I'd even like having them now that I do laundry at home. Plus it cleaned great.

It was made exclusively for K-Mart, and believe it or not, it was the best damn flavored coffee I've ever had. Sadly, when K-Mart filed Chapter 11, Nescafe discontinued their product line. I loved Phisohex! Wasn't it great for acne? Then they took it off the market because it supposedly had something in it that could do I forgot what. Cause cancer maybe? I don't remember. But the Phisoderm that replaced it sucked.

I also remember something else. The Nuetrogena shampoo in a bar form. Another bar product I liked. If you went to the public pool (I grew up in NYC) or beach it was nice and portable and no worry of spilling it.

acne outbreaks. It was taken off the market because the hexachlorophine (sp?) caused birth defects? or was harmful to infants?

I'm not sure exactly what it was that was so horrible, but I do recall that it was something to do with infants. (Which annoyed me because we had NO INFANTS in our home.)

Fantastic cereal with an unfortunate name. Supposedly used actual buckwheat, it was in the form of a wheat flake (kinda like Total or Frosted Flakes), but instead of frosting it had a sweet maple coating. Really delicious.

Another one I've seen only once, way back in 1988. Bubba-Yum bubblegum flavoured soda.

Surprisingly good. It wasn't cloyingly thick and sweet, as you'd imagine. Light, clean, crisp, with that neat old fashioned bubble gum flavour. Not something I'd drink two litres of, but a nice change up in the sodas in the fridge.

48. Pillsbury egg and cheese scramblers.
I am a vegetarian and all of the scramblers had either bacon or ham. But the egg and cheese scramblers were delicous, and now Pillsbury has stopped making it. I mean, that pisses me off because not everyone eats mean.

Available just about everywhere else in the world, but not here (at least not legally)since 1962, due to that stupid, outdated, ineffective embargo which, in the long run, just works in Castro's favor.

I still manage to get a few when I'm abroad; good stuff.....

It's the only thing that worked for me and it was wonderful. My Dr. said it was a shame they did what they did to it as the actual percentage of people who had problems with it was miniscule compared to the number of deaths/problems with things like Tylenol and Aspirin.

I would take it again immediately if it were available.

77. Stove Top Supper Bakes
Edited on Mon Aug-23-04 08:49 PM by Nikia
If anyone knows if they still make these, let me know. They've disappeared from every grocery store, including Woodman's (for those of you familiar with it), over the past year or so. I especially liked honey mustard stuffing bake and the cheesy chicken. The Campbell's Soup Supper Bakes and those all in one meals with the canned meat are inferior.
I know, I could buy stove top stuffing, some extra spices, and honey mustard sauce along with the chicken that I had to buy anyway and make my own. It was really good stuff though and very convient.

Sorry, I accidently replied to the wrong spot.

100. I'm so jealous
Although, we have a couple of items that we've had for over a year. Part of the problem is that often my husband will go shopping without me and buy food. For some strange reason (He claims that the kitchen is too small for him at our place we have rented for the past 3 years), he very rarely cooks. There are some items that he buys that although I could stand to make them, I don't really want to cook them either. Donating them to a food pantry is always an option but it would be cool if there was some kind of non perishable swapping event. I'll trade you some Stove Top Supper Bakes for some Hamburger Helper.

Edited on Mon Aug-23-04 09:35 PM by last_texas_dem
Anyone else remember this stuff? I only had three or four cans, but really liked the taste. It never even hit my hometown; I was visiting Austin for the summer ('95 I believe) and originally tried it from the hotel drink machines. I was surprised to never see it again, but after reading up on it later I discovered that Coke test-marketed it in a few cities but threw in the towel after it didn't get a great response. Apparently, it was supposed to be the "Gen X" soda or something along those lines, but that wasn't particularly apparent from its packaging; I just liked the weirdness of it.

I could live on Buitoni Instant Pizzas but alas the current Buitoni company says they never sold such a product. Must've been a different Buitoni.

Fizzies were what we were allowed to drink as kids instead of soda. They were like flavored Alka-Seltzers without the medicine and sweetened with cyclamates. We used to pop them onto our tongues, instead of dissolving them in water, to effervesce our saliva. Best flavors were orange and root beer.
