They carry AAR completely. However even though they claim to be "commercial free" they manage to insert a few Sirius ads between the songs. But overall I am pretty happy with their service...

3. If you want to listen to Air America .... |

I believe Sirrius has a feed for Air America all day, but XM only has Al Franken's show. Or is it vice versa?

Both are similar in music content. XM has some TV show audio such as CNN, MSNBC, FAUX, CNBC, CSPAN, and such. Sirius has two right wing and two leftwing talk channels, XM has one left so Air America is only partial and shares time with Colmes and Schultz. Opie and Anthony are on XM as extra pay as is Playboy. College football is going to be on XM also.

Clear Channel. I don't remember now. Sirius also has the various news channels, and if you're a football fan every game so they claim!

8. XM carries quite a bit of AAR; Clear Channel owns less than 2%. |
|
I hate this myth, but somebody brings it up every time. Clear Channel has less than 2% interest in XM, and they're getting rid of that.
XM carries Morning Sedition, Unfiltered, Al Franken and Majority Report complete. They might carry a little of Randi's show, but since the time change for Majority Report, I'm not sure. They have on Ed Schultz at 3, and Alan Colmes on instead of Malloy. I'm pretty sure they carry other AAR programming, though. There's a big push to get the rest of the AAR lineup. I'm sure it will happen.

I have XM in my car, and my husband has Sirius, so I've heard quite a bit of both. Sirius has better talk radio overall, but I think the music quality and selection on XM is better. I also like the XM receiver better. It even has a cool feature now where if you hear a song you really like, you can tell the receiver to alert you whenever it comes on any other channel at any time.
