Growing up in Boston we never used "soda". I moved to FL in the 70's and asked for tonic. People thought I wanted some pharmcuetical drink.

Do you remember a little amusement park called "Six Shooter Junction?"
Just curious. Some "bandits" tried to rob our kiddie train there, and I hassled the robbers when I was 8. My family and most of the people on the train were laughing their butts off.

If you ever meet anyone with last name of Gravlin or Rennscheidt, they're family of mine.
What about the nutty guy who lived off the main highway in Weslaco who kept trying to contact flying saucers? My grandma's house was down the road from that.

I didn't even know grocery store was old fashioned, but I say that too.
People give me a hard time for saying 'ya' see' (as in, 'I woulda watered the tree this weekend but there's this problem with the faucet out front, ya see...') but I don't know if that's old fashioned or if it just sounds weird.
Is 'katywompus' old fashioned?
I think I say a lot of old fashioned/weird stuff but it's not weird to me. I only realize it when someone gives me a hard time for it.
