TUCSONIANS FOR TRUTH AGAINST MOTHER NATURE!!! |
|
Edited on Tue Aug-24-04 05:52 PM by noahmijo
Okay here's the thing. Last week it's like 112 degrees, hot as hell, you go outside you squint even if you are wearing a welder's helmet, this week it's about 83 and raining.
Nature is flip flopping like crazy out here and this will no longer be tolerated.
I urge all to sign this petition stating that we in Tucson will no longer support a weather system FINANCED BY MOTHER NATURE that cruelly and at will dupes us into wondering whether or not we will be fried or rained on at a moment's notice.

Then again..I came to Tucson 20 years ago from Montana, where the weather is even MORE unpredictable. Think 80F+ one minute, and literally the next day..in July..there will be a snowstorm so heavy you're out watching fireworks on the 4th in a parka and ski mask. It's actually kind of nice, even here in the Old Pueblo, to have change..we don't get enough chances at seasonal change out here as it is.
Besides, the rain we're getting this week will help wash away all the goo off the sidewalks from insane joggers who melted after deciding to go for a run at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. :):silly:
