I was naughty tonight
My husband and I wandered into a Barnes & Noble tonight to browse. I picked up Bush on the Couch, so far a good read but not the reason for my post. On the same table was Unfit for Command. I just could not help myself. I picked up the pile and plopped them under a large stack of flower arranging books in the bargain-book section. Meandered around some more and found another pile. I gradually placed that pile around in the self-help and psychology sections being careful to put it with other hard covers of the same size. It's a large store so I had plenty of places to stash them. I checked Non-fiction by author and took 2 of the 3 I found there and put them with the cookbooks. I think those are now between "Cooking with Lydia" and "Classic Italian Cooking." The last one I put with the Astrology books next to a book on casting Wiccan spells. Found my husband and said, "My work is done here" and we left.

1. Not fair...
To the $7-8.00/hr workers. They will have to deal with this.

6. 'unfit for command'
needs to be deposited in 'fiction' or 'fantasy' sections

as for the wage slaves at B and N-you're giving them a big hand with 'job security'-something Mr fake president can't do...

9. I struck again tonight. I like the cover-switching idea, but it is way
too obvious. At the Border's near me, there is a big dumpster adjacent the coffee place where they dump coffee grounds.

After careful observation, I noticed that the kid came and unlocked the door, took the keys back, gathered what trash he had and then came back to dump it. Then, since the door is a dead-bolt, he had to go back and get the keys and return to unlock it.

Ah HA!

Said I.

A perfect place for certain books, and ample time to do it, assuming one more confederate and stratigic placement of reading material caches.

Result:

Total success without detection. There will be shortages of NeoCon books there for a while.
