Oh my gawd! Another JCS fan. I love that movie. My best friend and I pop it in the dvd player all the time and sing along. Her fondest (and most bizarre) dream in life is to stage an all-girl version and make me play Jesus. *snort*

5. I'm not a fan exactly. |
|
Our sixth grade music teacher thought he could interest us in opera by having us study it for half a year. And I was a fan at the time. I listened to that song, in particular, over and over and over. I used to be able to sing a lot of it, even the "recitatif." But I haven't really listened to it in years and years and years. Some catch phrases pop into me brain every now and again.

8. That was one of the first albums I ever owned. |

I played it until the grove was worn to nothing. I would sing & dance along to it in my basement and try not to make it skip.

I think everyone had a copy of that album when we were kids. I managed to find teh original concept album on cd a couple of years ago. Really took me back. *happy sigh*
The question is - did you do the dance choreography from the movie or make up your own? ;-)

We had a little Jesus Christ Superstar cult. And it wasn't that we were Christians, mind you. My favorite characters were the high priests, whose names escape me.

I know the whole libretto was i was 16.
The original album, with Murray Head, Ian Gillan, Brian Keith, et al was the best rendition, musically.
Vocal performances are terrific, and the production is superb and arrangements are excellent.
Didn't care for the movie version's music, too much. Flatter sounding and inferior vocal performance for most of the songs.
But, i sure did love that original album. The Professor

There's a hard rain a-comin'. Could be! Who knows? There's something due any day; I will know right away, Soon as it shows. It may come cannonballing down through the sky, Gleam in its eye, Bright as a rose!
Who knows? It's only just out of reach, Down the block, on a beach, Under a tree. I got a feeling there's a miracle due, Gonna come true, Coming to me!
That's about it for now. ;-)

10. Why should you want to know? |
|
Don't you mind about the future. Don't you try to think ahead. Save tomorrow for tomorrow. Think about today instead.
Love "Jesus Christ Superstar"
John 19:41 is just heartbreaking.

Why are you obsessed with fighting times and fates you can't defy? If you knew the path we're riding, You'd understand it less than I
