Is it just me....or does there seem to be less enthusiasm at the GOP... |
|
convention than our convention in Boston last month?
I saw a bit (and believe me, my stomach was pretty queasy after) of the do in New York last night...and the delegates there didn't seem to have the same enthusiasm that the delegates in Boston had.
Just my impression.

When all you're doing is meeting and looking to spew hate. I mean, without the burning crosses and hoods, it just doesn't have the same party atmosphere.

3. The cross motif on the wooden podium and gavel stand would burn. |

Perhaps someone can photoshop (GIMP) it.
I am thinking of a direct front picture I saw of Ahnold at the podium that particularly had the light catching the motif well.

marching orders.
People go to the Democratic convention to help form policy and decide on agendas and get all their voices heard (though many are ignored, they are, at least, heard).
The GOP convention is nothing about "what should we do" and "give us some ideas" and "let's make policy together". No, the people show up, they're told what the agenda is, they have a bunch of mass brainwashing and indoctrination events, they get their special propaganda shit and talking points, and they go home.

Your shit is unacceptable in NYC.
I imagine going to the big bad liberal city and seeing all the protestors has got to be a little unnerving. Being heckled everywhere they go can't be helping, either.
On top of that, they're probably having a hard time getting laid, but hey, there's always the Band-Aid ladies.
New York is an incredible city full of diversity and energy--definitely not a nurturing environment for small-minded bigots.
