What is the theme connecting these four songs?
1. Alice Cooper - 18
2. Charlie Daniels - Uneasy Rider
3. Ted Nugent - Cat Scratch Fever
4. Grand Funk Railroad - Footstomping Music

On the way home yesterday, a local classic rock station was doing their "4 for 4" thing, i.e., four songs (at 4:00) that are somehow connected. Listeners can call in and guess the connection.

I wasn't in the car long enough to hear the answer, but my guess is that these are all songs by people who were maybe once counterculture, but are now solidly wingnut.

The only thing I can't figure out is Grand Funk - would they fall into this category? How?

I have a few appointments to go to now, I'll check back later this morning. Thanks.

2. Local AM radio wingnut in Houston uses 'Footstompin' as his intro music...
Maybe that's why. Too bad - it's one of the few GFR songs I can stomach.
