Voter registrar geek story: I registered a guy on his 1st day as a citizen |
|
I was registering voters at monthly street fair along with NoPasaran. We registered 45 new voters last night. The last one was the best. As we were leaving a group noticed that I was a registrar and stopped me. The guy showed me his naturalization certificate. He had become a citizen yesterday and he wanted to register to vote! How cool is that?!?! He asked my political affiliation, and of course, since I was being a non-partisan representative of the county, I declined to answer. But, he and his group volunteered that they were Democrats! :bounce::party::toast::toast::party::bounce:
It made my night! :-)

You and NoPasaran are making a difference and deserve a laurel - and hearty handshake. ;-)

3. My brother-in-law got his citizenship this year. |
|
He supported Bunnypants in '00, and I was certain he would this year--he's quite well-off.
He's voting ABB. Not a Kerry supporter, but he is vocally anti-Bush now.
YES.
