I refuted a caller who said that Bush's current unemployment rate is where Clinton's was when he left office. Wrong!
When Clinton left office, the unemployment rate was 4.2%
It is 5.4% now and Bush doesn't have a chance in hell to get it to 4.2% by the time he leaves office.

And we all know that 5.4 doesn't include the long term unemployed -- those for whom benefits have run out.

I should have added that to the last post. Thankfully, my husband is working, but he is on his 3rd job in the last three years, due to layoffs.
