What about the voice of Geddy Lee? How did it get so high? |
|
I wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy.

3. How often do you talk to him? |

Could you relay a message for me if I asked nicely?

4. No, it's just the next line in the song he's quoting. |

I don't know Geddy Lee. The nearest I get to fame is the occasional bass player from Belle and Sebastian and one of the guys from Chixdiggit.

9. Chixdiggit! Are they still together? |
|
The only album I have by them is the one with "Henry Rollins Is No Fun" on it, but I do love that album. Live they were (are?) a gas too.

For some reason, this song has taken over a large portion of my brain for the past few days. I guess it's because I've been on a huge Pavement kick since I picked up the Slow Century DVD last week.

6. I really love his voice. |
|
When he spoke during concerts he sounded pretty normal. Perhaps a bit high, but not nearly as high as he sings. Does anyone else hear just love his voice though? I am tired of talking to all these people that hate it...

12. "High Point" of "Free Will" |
|
Yeah, One place in particular that I noticed that his voice was getting lower was the incredibly high note after the guitar solo in "Free Will", when he says "Each of us... A cell of awareness...". The word "Cell" is rediculously high in that line on the album, whereas live it is only fairly high.
