i rather like them and i think they're post-zombie work (which didn't make the airwaves here in the land of ashlee simpson and britney spears) is highly underappreciated and shows a band that matured nicely

There are dozens (literally dozens) of female musicians whose work I love and cherish who I'd never even think about sexually.
Then there are those whose only obvious attribute is their physical attractiveness.
Then there are those who have neither: Dolores O'Riordan falls into this category.

|
While living in New Orleans in 95, my friends and I were eating at a restaurant and met the members of Grant Lee Buffalo. I told them I was a fan and they gave me free passes to the next night's show. Wanted to see Grant Lee Buffalo, but my ride decided to get drunk and skip the opener.
The closer was the Dingleberries. They were....truly awful.

I worked at Tower Records in the early '90s, during the height of the Cranberries' career, and I had to listen to that shit on almost a daily basis. Thank God they're history.
:puke:
The most pathetic story I read about them involved an outdoor concert they held in Boston which was shut down because people were getting way too out of control in the mosh pit. A MOSH PIT FOR A FUCKING CRANBERRIES SHOW. Yes, folks, I shit you not. Probably no surprise it got shut down, seeing as it was probably made of idiot meathead frat boys who like music like the Cranberries and know nothing about mosh-pit culture and etiquette.
Yet another thing that I can blame Nirvana for: their success brought alternative and punk into the mainstream and led to ridiculous things like moshpits at Cranberries shows. I'm kind of surprised we didn't end up having mosh pits at Madonna or Backstreet Boys concerts.
