It's just f*cking unbelievable expensive. But there are relatively cheap offers for universities, perhaps you can find one that subscribes to LN and go there for occasional searches.

and these sites make money on the law side. Lexis is trying to compete with West, and West set the stage with the high prices. I use both for free at law school and prefer West. If any of your friends are in law school, they have free passwords, and you can use them (if you compromise your ethics). Peace.
