Dilbert Alert!
Just how dense *is* your employer? I work for the state of Florida and no idiocy can surprise me by now.

Just today we were issued a manditory notice that in case of suspected bioterrorism, hurricanes, or flooding all state employees should wrap our computers in plastic bags. These dingbats even had the nerve to demand we staple the plastic bags to our computers
This strikes me as almost as lame as the "duck and cover" propaganda of the 1950's, and the Duct Tape panic of 2002...

Enough said

Huh??

1. Wait until they decide
to put the computers in there NOW and you have to type and work through plastic.

This whole terrorism scare crap is working my last nerve.
I'm calling bullshit on the whole thing.

I flatly reject the official story there are since 9-11 roving bands of sophisticated terrorists waiting to pounce in this country.

3. Do it!
Get a clear plastic trash bag, put it over your computer, seal it to the desk with duck tape and insist on working with it that way. For advance users, put the monitor in a separate bag, but cut a hole around just the screen and seal the screen. Separate bag for the keyboard. Save several copies of the memo to explain why you are working so slow. Express concern that plastic bags are coated with a very fine layer of gelatin, which is an animal product, and you are a confirmed vegan. (Incidentally, this is why cats love to lick plastic trash bags.)

5. Yeah, that will do wonders for the CPU/monitor cooling air.
