What should be in the George W. Bush Presidential Library? |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-15-04 10:03 AM by Love Bug
I've been thinking-- once Bush is retired from office in January, he's going to start planning his presidential library. Other than "My Pet Goat," what other books/materials do you think Bush will or should have in his library? Future researchers and bored school children depend on your answers!!

some HighLights magazines - but only the ones where Georgie was able to figure out the puzzles.
Other than that I'm thinking that'll do it.

It's his favorite since Uncle Dick reads it to him every night before bed. He doesn't sleep too well unless he has his story.

8. No Joke, SMU and Baylor are fighting to be site of library |
|
I read a while back that both SMU and Baylor are figthing to be the site of the new library. SMU has space allocated for the library and Baylos is making a pitch and has tons of space. A7M has daddy's library and could easily just add a wing for Bush Jr. UT is evidently not interested at all in anything to do with Bush.
It will be interesting to see where the library ends up.

Considering how shrub will probably seal pretty much all papers related to his corrupt activities, what else is there to put in it other than his flight suit and a "Mission Accomplished" sign? Oh yeah, let's not forget the photo of shrub on 9/11 the repukes were selling. I think that about covers it.
Think Laura will be the librarian?

13. The Hungry Caterpillar |
|
Before there was a "My Pet Goat", about a goat that eats too much and angers a girl's father, there was "The Hungry Caterpillar", about a caterpillar that eats too much and eventually turns into a beautiful butterfly.
The two stories, taken together, illustrate a glaring double-standard in Bush's presidency. An action that is wrong for someone like Martha Stewart is perfectly acceptable for someone like Ken Lay.
It was also Bush's favorite childhood book. Now, you might say that he misinterpreted the question or whatever... but I think it's the truth. He is obsessed with the Hungry Caterpillar:
Mr. Bush, you may remember, was asked last year about his favorite boyhood book, and named "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," which was written the year after he graduated from college. -- Gail Collins, Oct. 10, 2000
