Out of the mouths of babes

I swear I didn't prompt my 2-year-old. We saw the news last night. She saw John Kerry and said, "John Kerry." Well, we've been talking about him enough that we weren't too suprised she'd figured that out.

So this is what followed - with no prompting or anything from us:

Bush comes on the tv. She says, "baddie" - her word for "bad guy"

But then, Cheney comes on the tv and she says, "scary monster arrrrrrgh!"

8. A friend of mine's son was playing with a toy version of AF1 ...

the other day and his father told him "That's the president's plane." The kid said, "It's gonna crash."
He stopped for a second and said "What!" and the kid said again "It's gonna crash."
He was hoping for more details and that his kid was clairvoyant.

had a little one during the 'Dark Years'-the end of the Thacher era. I went over about a year after she was gone when Loulla was about 5, and she heard Mary and I talking about her and piped up, "Mummy, I'm so glad that awful lady is off the TV."
