Cellphone-only voters, check in!

Since lots of people don't have land lines anymore, and they don't get polled, I'd like to get an idea of how many people here no longer use land lines.

We went wireless 3.5 years ago. Cell phones have been our primary phone since then.

so I can budget cable internet.

2. Well, since we live in a valley,

we don't get cell reception here at home - stuck with landlines.

However, my daughter (voting in her first pres. election) and virtually all of her friends rely exclusively on cell-phones. It's almost a foreign concept for them to use land-lines these days!

And, by the way, I know at least four of them right offhand who are anxious as hell to vote for Kerry in November! :bounce:

5. Have a landline, but rarely use it these days, so I think we count.

The ringer on the landline phone is always turned off, so that it is essentially just a voicemail-collecting device. So we are essentially unreachable by telephone pollsters.

6. i live in an apartment of 5 people

and we don't have a land line and I haven't had one for nearly 5 years now.

My live-in girlfriend also has only a cell, that makes two. Same with my stepsister, lives in an apartment, no land line.

I hate my phone. The keys don't work that well anymore and it is starting to literally fall apart. But I've got 3 weeks left in the contract.

i was reluctant to get one...i hate cell phones

but it's cheaper and more mobile than a land line
