Dreamworks to produce "At the Mountains of Madness." |
|
The bad news they hired the director of such great films as Mimic, Blade 2, and Hellboy.
For those who don't know, "At the Mountains of Madness" is one of H.P. Lovecraft's better novellas. It was the inspiration for the movie "The Thing" and its remake, about a group of scientists in Antarctica who come across a mysterious creature(s).
It could be either very good, or very bad, depending who's working on it.
Frankly, I'd rather see "Whisperer in the Darkness" get filmed. It's much more suspenseful.

the inspiration for "The Thing" was a short story from 1938 called "Who Goes There?", not by Lovecraft.
