IE keeps crashing on me!

I have no choice about which browser to use at work, and I'm quite fortunate that DU is not among the sites blocked. (I honestly don't understand the logic of the filter software--just this morning I was looking at a formalwear web site that became Access Denied! as soon as I clicked a link on it!) But there's a problem with my IE. I can't call tech support and say that IE crashes when I'm DUing. Or can I?

1. Will they let you install Mozilla Firefox?

Nice thing about Firefox is that it can be configured to not be your default browser, meaning it won't really show on your registry (unless that's changed).

I say talk to tech support, and ask if you can install Firefox. I'm sure they're familiar with it.

You could also hack the HOSTS file, it's a pretty simple trick:

This will block many of the malicious ad servers and malicious sites.

2. No ! Not if you wish to keep DUing

Unless the tech guy is one of "us" Does it crash on other sights ? If so, then call tech support. Maybe they will let you use Mozilla? They have to know it's a better browser, unless they are morans !

3. OK, it seems to be a DU bug

It keeps crashing whenever I try to reply to one specific post. It's happened four times. Yes, I reported it.
