It's that time again...convince me...
...to get up and clean my house. I just ate dinner and would rather screw around on DU. Tell me why I should clean my house.

My house isn't nearly this messy:

But I wish it were, because I could just get a shovel and put it all in garbage bags. :-)

2. If I get on AIM, I won't get anything done...
My bedroom is a complete mess. Guess I could just close the door and sleep on the couch tonight. Out of sight, out of mind, right?

3. If I was helping you
The bed's messiness would be the least of your worries...

Oh never mind that I said that! :o :D

4. LOL!
Believe it or not, the bed is clean...it's the floor around the bed that's a nightmare. I need to put some paperwork and stuff into my office, but, I can't, because the office is messier than my bedroom.

I just can't win. :-)

6. That, or I can just shove the ten-year-old whose mildewing on my couch...
outside so at least I can make a little headway.

I get through in one room and he follows and messes it up again. I can't win.

8. A clean house is a healthy house!
Dirt and dust are full of yucky germs which can make you sick, plus a clean house smells better and is a much more pleasant place in which to live.

I'm with you, though, I'd rather screw around on DU than clean house. I defrosted my fridge, scrubbed my floor, and finished the laundry today before getting online here at DU, because I knew it would be a lost cause from there on out.

I've delivered pizza to people whose houses look like that picture - how the hell can they stand to live like that? A shovel and garbage bags wouldn't make a dent in some of the messes I've seen - a bulldozer and would have been more appropriate!

11. Have I ever told you...
that you have absolutely the COOLEST name on DU? I love it!

Alright...you convinced me. I'm going to clean the house--I guess I am one of those wierdos who loves the smell of bleach.

Going to it right now. :-)

12. Why, thank you!
I chose this name because it, sadly, all too accurately reflects the circumstances of my life - after four years of *, this lady is effing broke! :hi:

13. My mom's house is kinda like that...
I hate it. Hated living there, will never move back. Unless a dumpster is part of the bargain, LOL.

I'll debate the clean house=healthy house, though. You take too many of those germs away, and you'll never build up any immunities to anything! ;)

14. True - you can go overboard with the antibacterial soap and cleaners
to the point where you have lessened immunity to germs. I was thinking more of routine household chores - dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning the bathroom so that nasty pink fungus doesn't grow everywhere!

17. I can actually complete chores and IM assholes almost simultaneoulsy
if necessary due to the miniscule size of my house and ensuing central location of my computer! :silly:

18. I can't do chores, ever.
I hate them. I would have been a terrible 50s wife, LOL. As it is, things basically get done to the bare minimum around here, that we find livable. Oh well, works for us!

And as for IMing assholes... you don't count :)
