Imagination matters: FOOD CHAIN matters. I'm plugging my book.
There have been people from other web sites who have offered to do this, and I am grateful to them.

But I'll have to do it myself now:

Food Chain: Short Stories

Janet Kieffer

Lost Horse Press

Imagination matters. Literature matters, and less people are reading literature these days, according to the NEA, than ever.

We are so caught up in the commercial, popular culture that we have no imagination.

Cheers,
--janx --jk Kieffer, with love

1. Have you got a link to a site where we can buy the book?
Is it out in major book stores?

2. Here:

As for the stores, distribution should happen this fall and around Christmastime.

It's a shameless plug, I know, but I'm familiar with this site and think that many here might enjoy reading literature again.

3. Never mind, I guess...
People are still into popular culture.

4. I used to want to be a writer
But it turns out that I lacked an important component: imagination. It took me seven English classes and about $6,000 to figure that out, so as you can tell I'm not the brightest bulb, either.

Congrats on the book and maybe I'll give it a whirl. I know getting published is one of the biggest obstacles to overcome. I hope you sell a million copies.

5. Congratulations on getting published and good luck with the book!
You are so right that we have no imagination left; we have become completely dependent on popular culture to supply us with ideas on everything from frivolous entertainment to serious political issues. Few have the ability, or even recognize the necessity, of thinking for themselves, instead they allow the propaganda-driven corporate media to decide the course of their lives - it's much easier that way, and, besides did you hear that Britney got married again? Now that's the important stuff, and thinking such as that is a major reason why we are where we are today. :silly:
