A picture of "The Thing" from the new Fantastic Four movie, partially
transformed. Apparently in the movie, he's slowly going to transform over the course of the movie from Ben Grimm into the big bulky rigid rock form that the character is best known as looking like.

My friend sent me this pic of a semi-rocky version of him.

1. Some friends of mine are working on it...
...it's being shot in Vancouver. If they have any spy shots or cool production stories, I'll post them here.

2. I'd prefur a shot of Jessica Alba in her lycra costume or anything skimpy

4. Somehow, I think 'The Incredibles' is going to be a rather better movie.
It's comparatively original.

5. Is comparatively original the new word for ripoff?

8. not really original...
still based off of a comic book published by Image Comics. The Incredibles are more like the Superman family, or the Powers family than the FF.

6. Is there ANY comic that isn't going to be made into a movie?
Or is this what we can expect until a Democrat is president and our economy is out of the crapper?

Original scripts are nice, honest they are.

The makeup looks cool though.

9. re: "Is there ANY comic that isn't going to be made into a movie?"
I don't foresee "Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew" being made into a movie anytime soon. Although it could be pretty cool with standard animation, or better yet, CGI.;-)

10. I want Captain Carrot!! I also want a Flaming Carrot movie,
and a Normalman movie.

Also, The Badger would be fucking impressive.

And a Groo movie would be cool, in concept, but I can't see anyone being able to pull it off with any decency.

11. Plenty. But not too many really popular ones. The Marvel movieverse
kicks ass. I think this (FF) is going to be the fourth big movie franchise coming out of Marvel comics. Which is appropriate.

7. cool
i like that. in the original FF comics, Ben Grimm started off more as you see him in the photo and it was a while before he became Old Rocky.
