1. Try msnusers.com
and sign up for a group. It's pretty easy from there

2. Your own ISP?
Edited on Sat Jul-12-03 11:18 AM by nm3damselfly
Who is your own internet service proviced, JohnKleeb?

On Edit: Almost every provider gives you a certain number of megabytes for a personal webpage. Go to your ISP's homepage and look for the instructions.

just go to their support page and sign up for it.

Fortune City gives free web space and you can get 25 MB there

7. Most ISP's give free
space on their servers. I would be wary of angelfire or others because they do not allow linking to images. If you have a Mac, .Mac is pretty good, but costs $99 per year. You get 100mgs of space and a bunch of other goodies.

If you are an HTML newbie you can find templates for image sites, or you can code your own (big fun). You can also buy apps that help in the building of sites. One friend is trying to put up a site using Front Page, but is having a lot of trouble with images overlapping text*.

I don't know of any web authoring apps for Windows, I roll my own using the Composer that comes with Mozilla. It is very good.

BTW, use tables, stay away from frames.

*Yes, she has tried with and without absolute positioning.

9. for image hosting
http://files.villagephotos.com/index.asp
or
http://hyperphoto.photoloft.com/canon.asp?s=cano
or
http://www.picturetrail.com/

all free, create the html links for you so you can cut and paste, but BW limited..a few small small images is fine, but many big ones will soon use up your allotment.
