Can I break out of the 700 Club by noon CDT Saturday? |
|
Let's see...
I'm going to run out and buy Fable for my XBox because I played my friend's copy last night and it's un-frickin believable. When I get it, I'm going to play it like mad.
I might play some poker tonight.
I might go out and buy Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots later and listen to that for a while...
And I'm only a littler over 750 posts right now.
LET'S DO IT!!! Ask me anything!

4. I've been known to have massive posting droughts |
|
Today though I have so much stuff to do I wonder if I can make it...
I think I joined the club last Saturday, so I'd like to make it a week and be over withit :D

5. So, how long do you think 35 posts will take? |
|
Turn away from the XBox and keep those fingers tapping. It can be really scary in the 700 Club.

8. Well my record for one day is about 60 I think |
|
That was one day trying to get out of the 700 Club. Didn't accomplish my goal, obviously.
This week has been very bad for me and I've been way too busy to post much here, much to my dismay :(

10. oh. i think you can do it |
|
i average over 40 posts a day, and that's counting the 2-3 days i was outta town and didn't sign on. have you thought of beefing up your count by just agreeing with posts ("Yeah, totally man!") or laughing ("HaHaHa! Good one!")?

11. Naaah, that seems way too freeperish to me |
|
I always try to at least add some sort of thought to every post, whether it be in the subject line or the body (yes, I do "n/t" posts from time to time).
I hate to sound cliché - but it's really about the quality of the posts, not the quantity. Except when it comes to escaping this Hell known as the 700 Club (how's that for irony, eh?)

14. Not yet - I was hoping to run out to Barnes and Noble to pick one up |
|
Unfortuantely, I slept right through the time the local B&N is open. Target and EB Games are still open, so I can still buy Fable there for cheap, but Target way overprices CDs, so I'll just wait till tomorrow to get it.
I loooooved The Soft Bulletin (reccomended by DUers), so should I find Yoshimi even better? I've heard the whole album is a long ballad of Yoshimi battling the pink robots, which is something I would dig.

anything else of theirs-i had this internet crush on another site-he recommended that and Radiohead (also which i was totally in the dark about). i don't listen to much radio and i got rid of cable a while ago-i never liked MTV anyway so i miss a lot of stuff.
Yoshimi is great i am always surprised when it's over! i may just listen to it tonight

16. The Lips aren't really played much on the radio |
|
For that matter, neither is Radiohead - with the exception of some selections from Pablo Honey (their weakest, "poppiest" album). I was told about The Soft Bulletin after I asked here some time ago about albums I should buy given my taste in music.

|
that probably does play them-it's listener supported, no ads and i used to listen to it, but i sorta drifted away from listening-they're very popular on the web streaming-according to them :) http://www.kexp.org/streamarchive/streamarchive.asp
