I don’t have pictures yet, but as soon as grandpa uploads them, I’ll share them. That is as soon as grandpa uploads them AND I have my hands free.
Garrison is beautiful and healthy and cluster feeding. Woo-Hoo! It’s just as fun as it sounds.
The C-section was quite an experience. The procedure did not hurt. I felt like an overstuffed laundry bag being unloaded. The spinal wasn’t that big of a deal either. But a very insensitive nurse did my prep. She rammed the IV into my hand, getting blood everywhere, and did not bother to clean it off, so I had blood caked on my hand. She almost killed me with the catheter. Then she went to shave the area and said, “Don’t worry, this won’t hurt as much,” and then she was rough as hell. So by the time I got to the OR I was pretty freaked out. But everyone in the OR knew what the hell they were doing…and then of course when I heard the baby cry for the first time…well I would have done the whole thing without the spinal just to hear that.
Thanks again for all your support through this whole thing. I’m not sure when I’ll get a chance to get on the computer again, but someone will be by to post pictures within a day or so.
Love you all!
Rene and Garrison.

Happy to hear everything went more or less smoothly. Ddo they specifically require sadistic streaks in maternity ward nurses? Yes... I think they must.
Thanks for dropping by to share!
Can't wait to see the pics... have fun cuddling!!!!

6. The nurses were driving me crazy. |

They all were giving me contradictory advice and information. One of them told me not to listen to the pediatrician because he was wrong. And I just kept thinking that if I had a vaginal delivery, I'd be home already, instead of in the hospital getting a different tutorial from each nurse. How does a C-section put me at a greater need for 11 contradictory condescending tutorials?
But Garrison ad I were together, and we got out a day early. :D
Well, it's time to feed him again.
See you soon.
