I have a slew of old coins that were left to me by my dad. I took them to two coing dealers and they would barely give me the face value of the coins, one of which I checked out in a coin book, and if in mint condition would be worth $130,000. the one I have is not "mint" but it is in pretty darn good shape. I trust my fellow DUers to give good advice. I live in Maryland near DC and VA.

in several books I got from the local library. This is perhaps the easiest way I know to find out what the general value is. The books also gave a guide to coin conditions. Good luck.
