After 3.5 Years Unemployed, I'm Starting A New Job On Monday
With an arts organization here in Las Vegas. The pay is about one-third of what I was making at my last job, but something is better than nothing! There's also full benefits after 90 days (hopefully a better plan than we're currently under through my wife's job).

So, to recap: lost my job in 2001; exhausted my UI benefits; cashed in the 401 - went through that and the savings account; sold the house and relocated; used up most of the profit from the house sale staying alive for the past 15 months; finally got a job that pays not-so-great-but-what-the-hell. Hey! I've turned the corner! Time to vote for *!!

1. Congratulations!
This job may turn into something really great for you!
:toast:

(I have been unemployed for four years, so your good news is giving me hope, so thanks for that, too).

3. Thanks for giving me hope!
I've also been unemployed for over 3 years and I've given up hope that I'll ever find anything. I realized today that I only half-heartedly look for jobs anymore because it just depresses me.

Good luck to you and thanks for sharing!

Peace.
