Am I the only one who misses her pets when she's at work |
|
It's days like today that I wish I had Abbott here to sit on my lap while I'm stressing out at work. Damnit, we should be allowed to have our pets here at work!!

I have a huge picture of Pad Thai on my computer wall paper. I often wish I had that funny face with those crossed blue eyes here looking at me. I'd like to have him up on my shoulder purring and rubbing my face right now.

3. I regret to say I don't miss my pet. |

Both my Chow and my teenaged daughter are driving me nuts. My daughter throws her clothes on the floor of her bedroom, which is starting to look like Ivan passed through it, so my Chow feels it is her right to chew them up. She just chewed up another article of clothing this morning. I'll be glad to have a break from them both.

5. Nah, Abbott is just more of the snuggler |
|
I can do things with Abbott on my lap. If Evita was here she'd demand me to be brushing her all the time and I wouldn't get any work done!

One of the things I like best about telecommuting is that my little furry boy (see my avatar) is right beside me the whole time.
I think people would be less stressed and friendlier if they were allowed to have their pets with them at work. Of course, I also think there should be animal appreciation classes in schools, to teach children the value of nonhumans.

11. My cat is sleeping at my feet as we speak. |

Telecommuting rocks! The only bad part is that I work more hours, am always on-call, and can't seem to ever get away from the computer. At least my cat has some company. :)

on a webcam! My aussie goes to Doggy Day Care where he can play with his buds all day long and they have a webcam so I can check in on him when I want to. It's a hoot! :)

13. You're Not The Only One. I Do Too. ... But Another Question Might Be... |

"Do our pets miss us when we're not at home?"
I know my Mitzi is glad to see me whenever I return... but did she really "miss" me and long-for me while I was away? Or did she enjoy napping and looking out the window, and chewing her rawhide, and squeaking her squeakie-baby, and watching TV without being disturbed?

14. I think they do miss us . . . |

Thanks for the welcome, Lynne, and telecommuting does rock. Sorry to hear about your cat, Winter1979. I know when I lost my job one of my biggest fears was that I'd also lose my dog.
But as far as pets missing their humans, I know my dog misses me when I'm gone. Whenever he sees me heading for the door, he gets all excited and bouncy . . . until I say, "I'm sorry, doodlebug, you're not coming with me."
Then he goes and curls up in his crate and stares sadly at me until I go. And then he hops out, runs into the bedroom, and curls up on my pillow--I know because I'm not a blonde. ^_^
Can he shout "I want my mommy!" any louder?

17. I know Gideon misses me... |
|
When I'm not here, he calls for me a lot.
Then, when he sees me after work, he inflates his crest and says, "Hi!" in an excited tone.

I miss my chihuahuas very much. I brought my little one to work on my last day and everyone fawned over her.

We own our own business so I can get by with it. The only problem is if I bring all 3 dogs they bark so much, but I hate to leave anyone behind....
