Swap wife for a new model, says leader

THE Hungarian Prime-Minister-in-waiting has suggested that men should be free to trade in their wives for younger women.
Ferenc Gyurcsany said that his Socialist party, which dismissed his predecessor Peter Medgyessy, was entitled to do so just as “anyone whose wife is getting old deserves a younger one”.

Mr Gyurcsany, a 43-year-old multimillionaire, has been married three times and his present wife is in her early 30s.

Women’s groups placed a full-page advertisement in the Nepszabadsag newspaper saying that his words had deeply offended wives and mothers.

Eva Fodor, acting head of gender studies at Central European University in Budapest, said: “He thinks that women’s bodies are objects of trade, to be equated with a new car or a better apartment.” Mr Gyurcsany regretted the remarks and had apologised for them, his spokesman said.

Usually in Eastern Europe the "socialists" are remnants of the old regimes, which called themselves "socialist" and "left-wing" whereas in fact they were reactionary, conservative jingoists.

4. Sounds fine as long as the original wife gets all the assets of their

marriage. If a guy wants to 'start over' let him start with what he did with his first wife. I am sure he will still be able to get the young chicks on just his charm and looks ;)
